med student in need of help or advice from a doctor

hi there..

i hope you guys can help me.. i am still a first year medical student but then i think that im loosing my interest na sa medical field...

i do want to become a doctor not because g pugos lang ko sa ako parents but because nahan jud ko mu serve....and besides d ko ka imagine sa ako self sa lain nga trabaho...

at first ok ra man au ko sa skul...f kapoyon tuon kay mag cge lang ko think nga "THIS IS FOR TEH FILIPINO PEOPLE" so mugana ra ko tuon balik but lately d na jud mu work..tapulan na jud au ko...mura ug nawala ako interest..

hapit na mahuman ang skul year ron den befor mi mag perform sa amu research maka uli pa ko sa cebu for 3 weeks and 4 days...nahan unta ko nga mabalik ako gana sa pag eskwela para makatabang pud ko in teh near future...

naa ba moy nahibaw.an nga hospital or clinic na pwede ko mag volunteer or maski observe lang..

you might have a hard time becoming an observer or volunteer sa hospital unless you are officially endorsed by a medical school. (Of course, you can if you know a doctor who will allow you to just tag along.)

think of your parents if they are the one who work hard so that you can go to a med school.
think of the income you could have when you become a doctor.
think of the people whom you could help in the future...
think of your dreams of becoming a doctor - do not forget your dreams.

but i did it long ago when my auntie husband was a hospital director in leyte. but that was just for a day or two.

i dont believe that you have to
stuck in your mind nga para ni ni kuan, ni kuan..
all you have to say is that, this is for yourself,
you like the course, you gotta have the profession,
for yourself..
do it for yourself TS..
and i guess that'll bring back your interest,
cz u said thats what u want after all..

I'm not in the field of medicine but I can really relate to what you're going through. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut with my studies. I've been so demotivated with my lack of progress and so angry with myself, that I feel like burning all my books and notes everytime I look at them. So I decided to take a break next sem just so I can put my head back on track.

Maybe taking a sem-long break is not an option for you. But I think you really do need a break. How about just taking it slow this summer? Take a breather, go to the beach, relax. It might do you some good.

naa man mi mga kaila nga hospital authorities..
daghn kaila ga docotors kay doctors man ako mga igsuon..but nahan lang ta ko isolve na nga prob on my own.. hehhee

kay di ko nahan ma.yawyawan den d pud ko nahan ma worry sila

na sugod na ko ka pressure sa akong mga boardmates nga waa nay life kung d tuon ra jud...d man pud ko nahan maboang ug tinuon hehhehhe...

sa balay pud kay grabe jud kaayo ilang expectations..

den ssa skul kay d man gud au ko usually magpakita sa mga tao nga mag tuon ko or d pud ko hilig mag cram sa skul premises.. d au ko tgshare inig ka Small Group discussions maski kahibaw pa ko sa answer.. i dont mind nga feeling nila nga bogo ko..so far wa jud ko y hagbong sa pag tung.tung nako ug med..someimes maka irita lang jud..
