How do you mourn for a beloved pet's passing away?

Last night, our pet chattering lorrie died. I believed she suffered a stroke. We cradled her in our hands till its last breath. Sakit kaayo.. pet bird ra pero..i cried..

this was taken at 10:46 in the morning. luya na sya.. but still tries to be playful. she will die nine hours later.

i guess there really is no right way on mourning a pet
when i was younger , my first dog that i ever owned died. i was sad, i got depressed and reminiscing the good times back when she was alive. and then i moved on.

just remember death is natural and every living thing goes on with it. you just have to accept the fact that when it comes your ready to accept it.

after my first dog, when my other dogs died it's not as painful anymore.

My pom-shipoo Chloe, though, I'm not sure if she still existed until now.
She went missing on the 8th of July 2009 'til now just weeks after I left the Philippines for a couple of months in Singapore.
My case is quite different because there ain't no closure and I really have no idea where she is, how she's
doing, could she be alive or not
And also what's more difficult to bear was the thought of her wandering the streets---scared, hungry
and lonely.
Until now occasionally I still wake up in the middle of my sleep from her licking my face only to notice I was just dreaming.
Grabi kaayo to nako ka pinangga nga dog and until now nag hope pa ko she's in good hands.
And just the thought of her being maltreated really rips my heart out

i think ur pet died happily sir/mam cause she knows na you were there by her side even to her last breath, in other words.. she didn't die alone. im sure she will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge
