    Default Wireless networking question - Router + Router connection

    Hi need advice from the experts here...
    theory:
    I currently have a wireless router at the ground floor of the building. However signal cannot reach the 5th floor (about 20m up). I also want the 5th floor to be wifi capable. Im planning to plug a very long ethernet cable from the main router to another wireless router at the 5th floor. is this possible? or would i need anything else? by the way, what's the difference between a wireless router and a wireless access point?

    thanks in advance!

    @Prince

    Yup just add another AP on the 5th floor make sure that your UTP cable will not exceed 100 meters...

    Wireless Router - it has 3 functions Routing, Switching and Wireless Access Point

    Wireless AP - Wireless ra jud siya

    Main Router:

    WAN - DHCP from Telco/ISP

    LAN - Either DHCP or Static (make it DHCP para di libog)

    connect one end of your cable either of the 4 LAN ports of your wireless router then connect the other end of your cable to the internet port of your AP
