In the Philippines, only two schools are being approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to offer a FOUR YEAR BACCALAUREATE COURSE on Aviation Technology major in Flying- Airlink Internal Aviation School and Indiana Aerospace University (IAU), Asia's biggest aerospace university.
Why the biggest aerospace university in Asia? Simple. A 10 hectare institution (super small compared to USC, UC, SWU, ADMU, DLSU, UP, ...) located at Kagudoy Road, Lapulapu City, IAU is the ONLY aerospace university in asia because other flying schools are not given the title, university.
There are flying schools like Aviatour, Omni, PAL Academy, CebuPac, ... these schools DO NOT offer a BS course. They only offer Pilot Ground Course (PGC) which I find it impractical coz you need to have a degree course in order to get to an airline company (except for CebuPac which accepts high school graduates who proceeded to CebuPac flying school after secondary education). And isn't it tiring to study two majors at one time?
Aviation colleges in Cebu, as far as I am concerned, are Indiana Aerospace University (IAU), Cebu Aeronautical and Technical School (CATS), Royal Christian College (RCC), and Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA). And among these schools, I find IAU to be the most appropriate school for my course.
What do you think guys?
