the warranty issue makes the difference. For sure the Kiss x4 wont have warranty in PH. The locally sold 550D from OFFICIAL CANON DEALERS will have a 3 year warranty.

The price difference is about 8 k. Currently im thinking if 8K is worth the price of to have a 3 year warranty kay plan sad ko palit Any ideas

is equal to Canon Kiss X4 - Japan
is equal to Canon 550D - Everywhere else in the world.

As for me, I don't mind having the warranty in another country. I don't use it anyway.

Pareho ra na sila og feature bro. I think ang nakalahi ra ana nila kay ang language settings ra kay ang Kiss X4 only supports Japanese and English languages only. Bought a dslr from japan and the language setting is the only thing that differs. The rest of the features remains in tact.

i also bought a canon dslr with no warranty and at a difference of 10k back in dec 2009. up to now the camera is still good so imho these dslr's are built to last so warranty is not much of an issue. just test the unit to make sure everything works.

Question, will local canon accept kiss x4 for repair?

i was planning to buy a grey unit canon 550d, ako na lang e diretso palit ug kiss x4.
i dont mind not having a 3years warranty (P10k), ako na lang e palit ug lens.

Ok ra nako gasto pa repair, just want to know if local canon will accept it for repair.
basig 550d ra pud ilang e accept.
