Hi everyone.. soo new year.. Need your help guys.. Me and my husband to be are planning to tie the knot this year.. Since according to Chinese astrology, this year is considered to be a good year for marriage. Unfortunately due to budget constraints, magpa civil lang usa me. So unsa man among buhaton to materialize this plan? Can you guys help us? SAlamat daan.

Individuals must be at least 21 years old to get married in the Philippines without written parental consent.

Art. 15. Any contracting party between the age of twenty-one and twenty-five shall be obliged to ask their parents or guardian for advice upon the intended marriage. If they do not obtain such advice, or if it be unfavorable, the marriage license shall not be issued till after three months following the completion of the publication of the application therefor. A sworn statement by the contracting parties to the effect that such advice has been sought, together with the written advice given, if any, shall be attached to the application for marriage license. Should the parents or guardian refuse to give any advice, this fact shall be stated in the sworn statement.

Mao ni ang requirements:

1.) Birth certificates of both parties (original copy and photocopy)
2.) Valid I.D.s of both parties (original copy and 2 photocopies)
3.) Barangay Clearance (if dili registered voter diri sa Cebu, pwede ra wala but dapat naay at least 1 nga barangay clearance)

Kung below 25 years of age, kinahanglan pa ug consent.
If below 21, I think kinahanglan pud ang appearance sa parents.

Isubmit ni tanan sa City Health Marriage Section.
Next is attend sa seminar sa City Health. Naay bayad P50 for the marriage license.
After nafile ang docs, wait for 10 working days para makuha ang marriage license.
Once naa na ang marriage license, adto sa Capitol para magpaschedule ug kasal.

**Take note that the marriage license will expire after 120 days kung di mo makasal in that span of time. Kung maexpire, you could file again but pwede na di moattend ug seminar.
