    Default HELP:3D/Display Problem

When I play 3D games on my PC, it started to hang. All of a sudden, I cant play anything without it crashing. Says it got some .dll problems. I cant turn on Direct 3D/DirectDraw in DirectX Diag. I reinstalled the Nvidia driver(am using GeForce 5700), and after reboot, it will just make the whole screen garbled and cant see nothing but a blurry screen. So I have to turn the video card off and rely on the onboard graphics(motherboard).

I thought that would solve the problem, and that my video card is busted. But when I restart, I get vertical lines all over the Windows XP loading screen. When I play 2D/3D games that the onboard video card can run, I still get vertical lines throughout the screen. The color of the text in BIOS(on startup) are distorted - mixed with white, bright blue, and such. So I guess its not the video card afterall.

    Can anyone help?

    BIG THANKS!

bro, try to update your video card driver by downloading it from the internet. maybe this will resolve your problem. also try also using your GeForce 5700 video card and update also the driver.

if these solutions still won't work on your computer, try reformatting/clean install of your computer's operating system and do what have advised above. if still won't work, it's a memory or motherboard problem afterall. try update BIOS of your motherboard and try also replacing other memory to isolate the problem further...

Thanks. I did download the latest Nvidia drivers from the nVidia's site. It will still crash(on games), and afterwards, the whole screen in desktop is fuzzy. With or without the video card, its like this.

Ill try to reformat soon, though sigh... Windows XP - have to reinstall all programs. Might try to bring it in a shop na lang so they can atleast use another hard disk to see if its there or not.

i encountered this with my p3 system before (ASUS CUV4X-C). the bios is disturted so i concluded this has nothing to do with the OS. so i flashed the bios then everything was back to nornal. except for a few additional option i got from the latest bios version i downloaded.

NOTE: make sure you know how to flash a bios or your mobo will be history.
