Pantone Announces Honeysuckle As The Color Of The Year

Ah, who could forget Turquoise, Pantone's Color of the Year for 2010. both soothing and vibrant, the hue covered pleather bags at outlet malls and curb-side pashmina stands all year long. For 2011, Pantone chose Honeysuckle, a reddish pink color, as the shade of choice. Says the press release, "Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you, and carry you. [...] Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage, and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life." Geez. Who knew pink was so powerful?
