windows shutdown/restart

tabangi ra gud ko ninyo kai murag na possessed ako pc.. this is the situation:

everytime i try to shutdown my pc, all it does it is RESTART... basically, di jud siya mo-shutdown...
i tried some suggestions from the web but nothing worked for me.. ako naman gani gi-REFORMAT unya wa gihapon! the problem persists...

sige daw, unsay inyo suggestions mga computer gurus... i'm running winxp service pack 2, updated automatically ang windows..

try doing a CMOS reset. Just recently came across a computer with the same problem.. solved by clearing CMOS.

Check also motherboard and power supply, basin na-a nay mga capacitor nga overheated na. Mailhan man na kay murag moborot na...

i remove tanang hardware nmo.like memory, HDD, Proc,Board,Cmos Batt,ang clean it.try lng bro.kai ako lng Idea ana bcn Grounded.

ahaha..morag ikaw mai..hehe ...btw bro kuno ka oh..wahahhaha

btaw..ive experienced dis b4, sp1 days..all i did, as suggested by some sites,s i turned off the adv powr mgmt feature of winxp..but it didnt work..cleared the cmos several tyms..then i turned off the wake-on features on my mobo's bios which i found out was also disabled so it wasnt d prob..i also disable “restart on system failure” feature..didnt work..had a couple of formats..stil didnt work..but i was relieved wen i unpluged some usb devices and it went bak to normal..im not pretty sure bout dat but atleast give it a try..just my 2 pesos

CMOS reset, by removing the BATT of your board or just by altering the JBATT (Jumper of our battery).

hoi gregor.. btiaw naka hunahuna pod ko anang mga usb kay naay 1 milyon kabuok nakapaslak sa slots hahahahah asige testingan nako.. ug about sa mga CMOS thingie.. salamat ug dili nalang ko pagpalumaluma ana ug hilabot basin ako na hinuon ang mga grounded.. kinss man kaha'y technician nga maka solbad ani oi? kay ang mga taga PCX giingnan langkog i-format kai naay virus! gi format na bitaw..wa guihapon!
