Yes it needs wifi but not internet. You can bring a small wifi router with a power pack if you need to shoot outdoors. Or just bring a regular wifi router on venues plug it and go shoot. There is a 'pro' variant but its much more expensive. It supports direct connection, ad hoc.

not sure bro ha pero i think need ka internet ani, nag research naman ko ani last year and sa ako nasabtan mo connect man ka sa ilaha server through internet

you need internet at initial registration and logon. once it's set, your good to go even you disconnect your internet.

sir, ive been looking for an eye-fi card but im attracted to the eye-fi pro x2 and not the connect version because pro x2 can directly connect to a laptop thru adhoc wifi connection without the need of a wifi router. Sir, do have the pro x2 version? may i know,sir, where you bought your eye-fi here in cebu? thanks.
