Need help and advice about pc problem.

Problem:
My PC just slowed down big time. It used to boot up fast but now it takes a lot of time to do so. Opening games or applications is so hard to do. I used to boot up around 50-60 seconds now it takes more than that. I know something is wrong since this is not how my pc behaves. And just very recently, my pc just died on me without me doing anything. Like *poof* and its dead. I turned it on and now its so slow.

Previous events:
I recently upgraded my casing so I have to setup everything from scratch. But after running my pc for 3-4 days, everything was smooth, except for a certain game which I used to run without any errors. The error was about memory as what I have searched and is common. But this only occurred after I changed casing.

What I have done so far:
1. Unplugged everything and reset pc since it died on me.
2. Opened casing again and removed memory. (did the eraser thingy which I used to do, done this more than once)
3. Checked wiring and made sure its securely connected.

Questions:
1. What could be the cause to this?
2. What can be done?
3. What test or procedures do I need to perform to diagnose this?

Win7 ultimate
asus p5kpl am se
intel e7500
4 gig ram
9800 gt
imaster pro

Any help will be appreciated... Just want to do all possible troubleshooting before I do the final test... reformat

Pila ka watts imo PSU bro? I guess Imaster pro is a generic PSU if I'm not mistaken. Basin lack of power since ur using 9800GT. (Just my own opinion)

its not generic.. me thinks... but not 80+ certified

might be... but i already ruled that out.... runs smoothly for almost a year now... so why suddenly start now? btw, i am still running it at this moment... but again its really slow.. also tried the psu on a different unit and videocard (higher than what i have) works fine.

im thinking of the memory part... any thoughts on this?

check memory for errors

check SMART status of harddisk. replace if there are warnings or errors or even relocated sectors.

replace PSU. Imaster is still considered generic and gibawi lang iya value tru easthetics. in real-world performance it cant even compete with OEM manufacturers like FSP and the likes. "it doesnt mean that it runs its good"

Dili na sa imong Hardware bro. Sa imo nang software or sa mga program nga gipang install nimo basin daghan na kaayo ka ug startup programs maong ma dugay pa jud siya ug load. Pwee sad sa imong mga temporary files daghan na kaayo.

Try these:

1. Try to uninstall programs that will start during start ups or view all your start up programs and try to disable those programs. Restart.

2. Install C-cleaner and clean your system. It will delete all the temporary files saved during normal run.

I hope these will work.
