It really depends on the person or situation. There are some who may have fallen out of love (before the break up) and there are some also who doesn't want to show it that they are hurt about it. The reason behind the latter is because of conditioning. We are taught from early in life that men don't cry. We get hurt and we are told to suck it up, go out and get hurt again, just don't cry.
