Serious Issues on my DVD-writer (forgot the brand)

Before, I never had a problem using my DVD writer, Nero Software & this DVD blank Media Disc..it went well without a Hitch. Now I've got issues...everytime I Put a DVD blank Media my DVD writer reads it as CD Blank Media...

without DVD blank media disc to the DVD writer:

maagwanta raman tingali na ang wrong display sa explorer. important thing is didto sa nero. blank cd pod ba ang ma detect sa nero? kung dvd blank inig burn sa nero, so ok ra. maagwanta ra. hehehehehe. try lang bai.

hasta sa Nero pre...i-luwa ang DVD blank media...kay CD blank media ang na detect dili DVD ...I tried unisntalling..then re-install ma-o lang gihapon. I am trying to back my Photos & my MP3's kay mo upgrade ko ug bigger hardrive.

try uninsatalling the drive and Nero. e pa re detect cya sa OS balik. as in remove the drive profile.

2.) Brand/make of DVD writer? YOU need to have this info if you are to satisfy #1.

1.) updated 6 months or so...
2.) I/O Magic...
3.) It reads CD w/ CD blank Media...when backing up Data or Music on a Blank CD Media it goes well. But when I use the DVD-R it wont work. I am using DVD-R blank Media & was using it for a lot of times before it went bonkers last weekend. Did not try the DVD-RW though.

try rolling back on the updates you just made, its a bug i guess. actually i experienced that before, pero pag restart nako system na uli.an raman. benq noon to na drive. wierd though.
