    Default 256mb 7600GT or 256mb 7600 GST?? (modz plz close! tnx!)

    which do you think is better? the the difference between the two is the chipsets used, core clock speed, and of course, the price... the 7600gt only clocks 60mhz faster in its core clock than the 7600gst...the 7600gt costs Php9850 while the 7600gst costs Php7900 (pcx prices)..

    is the performance difference between the two really that big?? mas mahal mn gd ang GT pero from what i see, di kaau dako ug diff sa ila specs...

    7600GT -> 560MHz Core, 1600MHz Memory
    7600GST -> 500MHz Core, 1600MHz Memory

    60MHz difference in core clock and PHP1950 difference in price, I'd get the 7600GST.

    Better google for benchies to be sure.

    the 60mhz difference is just a slight overclock, get the GST instead if it has the same memory clockspeed and just overclock it to GT speeds.

    7600GT -> 560MHz Core, 1600MHz Memory

    60MHz difference in core clock and PHP1950 difference in price, I'd get the 7600GST.

    I don't know what brand otis means coz i believe most of 7600gt available here in the philippines is clocked at core@560Mhz, memory@1400Mhz.

    I only seen overclocked 7600gt from Palit brand which is their 7600gt sonic clocked at core@575Mhz, memory@1500Mhz. i might be wrong, but definitely i have not seen this. except abroad like xfx, bfg and other brands which is not available here in pinas.

    the 7600GST is clocked at near maximum, (kay 7600GS ra man na with GDDR3 memory, AFAIK) the 7600GT con the other hand can still be Oced, am using one,(eVGA 7600GT CO) and its factory Oced at 580/1500Mhzsome users of the same card OC it even more, so id say get the 7600GT its a small price diff ra man...plus ive seen the benches and the 7600GT (non oc, so there is a chance for higher scores when OCed) beats the 7600GST..so yeah, between the two , get the 7600GT, (esp kay inno3d man lang nang 7600GST diba?) so with 7600GT, esp if you get kanang nindot na brand say eVGA, XFX, BFG then so much the better, ive used a palit(6600GT) and an evga (7600GT) and i can say lahi ra jud ang build quality bet the two

    heres a sample bench

    from legion hardware:

    http://www.legionhardware.com/document.php?id=554&p=10

    The Inno3D GeForce 7600GST is a difficult product to recommend as its not going to be for everyone. The fact of the matter is this 7600GS graphics card performs much like a 7600GT and it is also priced much like a 7600GT. The average 7600GT card retails for about $180 US and this is what the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST is said to cost. Compare this to a typical 7600GS that costs upward of $120 US. For this reason I do not know where the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST really belongs and to be honest I dont think it does either.

    A lot really depends on the price of the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST and it is the same for all graphics cards just like it. Often the factory overclocked parts are just far too expensive given they only deliver a few more frames per second. However, the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST actually features 7600GT memory, the 1.4ns DDR1400 stuff, so its not just a matter of simple overclocking. However, the heart of the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST is still just a 7600GS core running at 500MHz (50MHz above spec). This core is pretty much operating at its maximum frequency which is 60MHz shy of the 7600GTs core frequency.

    Therefore, if you were to purchase the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST for $180 US, why not just buy a real GeForce 7600GT card for the same money and get the faster core? There is of course no reason why you would not do this and this is why the price will either make or break the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST. Hypothetically lets just say the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST cost just $150 US or even $160 US, it would now be an absolute bargain. With a little overclocking anyone could have 7600GT performance or better for just a fraction of the price.

    However, at the same price there is no logical explanation for purchasing the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST over a real 7600GT card that I can see. Even if the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST featured an exotic cooler of some description or a few new gaming titles, the $180 US price tag could be justified. On the plus side the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST is the first 7600 series graphics card I have seen that does not use the boring green PCB. The black PCB looks pretty cool, though appearances are let down by the plain reference cooler.

    More importantly the reference cooler is disturbingly loud and just bench testing the card became annoying. Inno3D are not the only manufacturer using this extremely loud NVIDIA reference cooler, as we have seen the same solution on the MSI and ASUS 7600GT cards already. Thankfully, Leadtek were smart enough to tone the fan speed down, making it more bearable. Once again I find it hard to recommend the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST as it offers nothing over any of the already available 7600GT cards. Unless, the Inno3D GeForce 7600GST falls down into the $150 US price bracket, my opinion is going to remain the same and that is to get a real 7600GT graphics card
