hi guys,
i'm planning to buy a new dvd writer. my first pick was sony dru820a. but after searching and reading some posts on this forum im not anymore considering sony. im confused which of these two i would prefer benq vs lg.. any comments and experiences would be highly appreciated so i can have an educated decision which to buy..thanks!

Both are reliable decent quality brands. The only advantage the LG have over the BenQ one you mentioned is that the LG4167B (on top of my head) supports DVD-RAM. Is that something you will be using?

i know.. that's why the confusion.. dvd-ram.. hmmm.. have anybody used that? hehe.. i just want to save my data and video to dvds to free hdd space.. so i think BenQ has an edge based on the reviews i've read.
