Please advice me about AMD Processor :

Why is it that the price of AMD Athlon 64 X2 is cheaper than AMD Athlon not X2
What is the advantages and disadvantages please. Im planning to assemble a new PC which AMD Proc.

How about AMD Athlon 64 X2 and AMD Athlon 64 not X2 proc the price is very big difference, Is there any advantages and disadvantages.
