MANILA, Philippines— (UPDATE) A 6.1 magnitude quake rocked the extreme northern Philippines Tuesday, but there were no reports of any damage or casualties, government seismologists said.
The quake's epicenter was traced at 130 kilometers (80.6 miles) north-northeast of Tuguegarao city on Luzon Island, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The quake, which occurred at 10:51 am, was felt at Intensity V in Sta. Ana and Aparri in Cagayan; Intensity IV in Vigan, Ilocos Sur; Intensity III in Psuquin and Laoag, Ilocos Norte and Palanan in Isabela; Intensity II in Delfin Albano, Isabela and Intensity 1 in the Manila Ocean Park in Manila.
