    Thumbs up GORDON vs. GIBO

Who is more capable between Gordon and Gibo to become the next president?
Who among them was proven to have delivered something good in their previous jobs or positions?
Any comparisons? Pros and cons between the two?

go for gordon.. atleast with him, you can be sure hes no "all talk".. among the candidates, IMO, he has the best track record.. TRANSFORMERS for May 2010!

these arguments are taken from different people over facebook.. these are not my words but i do agree on them.. you can check the page for your reference..
Why Gibo, and not Gordon? | Facebook

If you would like to know our reasons for Going for GIBO instead of gordon.. i'll post some here:

    1. Gordon has NO MACHINERY. A good machinery will AID the president in his undertakings. He will not gain support from the upper and lower houses of the legislation.

    2. Gordon is NOT WINNABLE as of the moment (due to lack of machinery). Going for Gordon will surely divide the votes of the "THINKING VOTERS". If we consolidate our votes into the BEST CANDIDATE with the GREATEST WINNING CHANCE, we will surely get the right leader for our country.... See More

    3. Gordon also resorts to Mudslinging which is contrary to Gibo's Methodology of Positive Campaigning.

    4. Some of Gordon's proposals are ABSURD. Like the 40k for school teachers, the E-Books for all, and other stuff.

    5. Gordon's Leadership Style is semi-outdated. As an Authoritarian/Disciplinarian, His strictness is not conforming to the status quo.

    6. Gordon is a great statesman, but he is already past his prime.

Gordon is a good candidate but his approach is too ideal and not in touch with reality.

    Examples:

    * Php 40,000 for public school teachers. This will plunge our country into a debt crisis. Php 40,000 salary can be accomplished but should be gradual. Maybe 25,000 by 2011, 30,000 by 2012, 35,000 by 2013 and finally 40,000 by 2014... maybe 50,000 by 2016. As well, teachers lack further training which we have not really implemented thus far.

    * Kindle. This might be good to compound all the books but this will cost a lot for repairs. Schoolchildren often do not take care of free materials, how much more the Kindle?

As for his Subic and Olongapo achievements, here's my critique.

    * Subic was an already existing assest that he does not have to build from scratch but just develop. He cannot claim Subic as his brainchild. Any local official can do that but what the president-to-be needs to do is build from scratch.

So far, I haven't seen that platform of his on that. Gibo has countless measures already on building from scratch which he has already implemented in Tarlac and DND. For more details, visit GTX

I'd go for Gibo...but I'm not denying that Gordon is good too...

mostly, people only dislike Gibo because of GMA...

Gordon has been laying the groundworks for his candidacy. his volunteers and those who believe in him is his machinery. Once he wins, everybody will jump to the other fence. That's what those TRAPOS are. Precisely that's why Gibo is NO GOOD here: the current arrangement SUCKS! That machinery of Gibo is uber-corrupt already! NEED re-arrangement! NEED CHANGE!

    2. Gordon is NOT WINNABLE as of the moment (due to lack of machinery). Going for Gordon will surely divide the votes of the "THINKING VOTERS". If we consolidate our votes into the BEST CANDIDATE with the GREATEST WINNING CHANCE, we will surely get the right leader for our country
You think those for Villar and Noy2x are not "thinking" too? We just need to get those facts out. Filipinos are pilosopo and can see reason very well. IMO, the poor people (which are a majority) can relate more to Gordon than Gibo. Mas dali ibenta si Gordon sa ila keysa kang Gibo.
    3. Gordon also resorts to Mudslinging which is contrary to Gibo's Methodology of Positive Campaigning.

Ugh! PLASTIC positive campaigning! He will not say anything bad about other candidates because Edu will do it for him!! Gibo is USING Edu just so he can win. It leaves a bad taste.

    4. Some of Gordon's proposals are ABSURD. Like the 40k for school teachers, the E-Books for all, and other stuff.

40K--only for those who passed UNESCO standards others will be re-trained. E-books are not impossible if you are living in the current century! We are not in the dark ages. Infotech is FAST! These are still PLANS. When this will be launched, other nations would have done it as well.

    5. Gordon's Leadership Style is semi-outdated. As an Authoritarian/Disciplinarian, His strictness is not conforming to the status quo.

He is strict and disciplinarian. which is what we need. This kind of man can MOTIVATE as well as discipline. This kind of leader comes once in a blue moon. We haven't have this kind of leader eversince! (or for a loooong time). We grab this opportunity NOW!
    6. Gordon is a great statesman, but he is already past his prime.

64 is not yet past prime! He is very healthy! Looks even younger than Noy2x! But if we wait 6 more years for him to run again, he will be 70 then. That, would really be a waste. That's why Gibo CAN wait. And prove himself first. Because Gibo is still young. He can run again next time.

Gordon is a good candidate but his approach is too ideal and not in touch with reality.

What reality? Philippine reality?!? His approach is world-class standard.

As for his Subic and Olongapo achievements, here's my critique.

    * Subic was an already existing assest that he does not have to build from scratch but just develop. He cannot claim Subic as his brainchild. Any local official can do that but what the president-to-be needs to do is build from scratch.

If any local official can do it, why has Sangley Point and Clark Pampanga stayed as it was? they were looted. Only subic was not looted. Also, they were struck w/ Mt. Pinatubo! I thought before when that happened, it would take them 50 years to recover. But they recovered in just 3 years!
So far, I haven't seen that platform of his on that. Gibo has countless measures already on building from scratch which he has already implemented in Tarlac and DND. For more details, visit GTX
So, how is Tarlac? most municpalities are 4th class! The only pier that they had even sunk during the typhoon. And don't let me get started with his stint in DND again.

Gibo just like Noynoy, won't take responsibility for the incompetence of the people under them. Its under Gibo's watch that the Ampatuans got hold of the weapons, and it was under Gibo's watch that he got sued by an INTERNATIONAL entity for pirating a song for his campaign. Noynoy pud, la kuno syay magama sa Hacienda kay gamay ra ilang share, then when nasagasaan ni GMA ang Hacienda, nipalag dayun.

i will just quote a statement again.. this issue's been answered many times..

Why did the Ampatuans amassed so much arms?

When this question was directed at GIBO during the ANC Youth Forum in La Salle, he said that the amount of arms collected by the Ampatuans was way too much that it was impossible that these were all possible within two years; and, it happened way, way back before 2007. He guaranteed that none whatsover happened under his watch. So far, those who do not believe his explanation, cannot prove otherwise...

This situation reminded me of Obama's decision to set a deadline in pulling out of Afghanistan and leaving the Al Queda in the hands of armed militia and tribal leaders at war with each other since Afghanistan's army do not have enough soldiers to keep the peace and the US have to pull out because of a campaign promise and domestic issues. I know that once guns are involved and you have clans at war with each other, this can explode anytime.

This context is how I view the situation on Maguindanao.

Until the Government can station enough soldiers to keep the peace in that part of the Philippines from warring forces involving Abu Sayaf, MILF, NPA and RIDO or Clan Vendetta; they may have to take the risk of relying on militia (which started in Cory's time); just like the USA will in Afghanistan, because there are just too many other parts of the archipelago that needs the same security measures- and the military is spread out thinly.

Gibo only served the DND for just two years, the mindanao issue is so complicated, delicate and volatile. its just unfair to hurl him the issues that happen before his term.

is this about the POSIBLE song?or another issue ni?asa man ang link ani sir?
i will again repost statements for song posible with rivermaya..
On the alleged plagiarism of the song “Posible” by Rico Blanco

    • Official Statement from Dennis Garcia

“I was recently tasked to score the music for a Gibo Teodoro TV material. Given a free hand to use whatever music (existing or original) I want… I opted to go OPM.

I didn’t use any of my songs cause parang hindi bagay (Bongga ka, Gibo… Behhh buti nga, Gibo… O lumapit ka, Gibo... Ikaw ang Miss Universe… Manila Manila, Gibo... B.A.D.A.F Forever... forget it!!!!)
Why OPM? Primarily because Original Pinoy Music always gives a TVC a refreshing new dimension, a big lift (as was my recent exhilarating experience with the Bongbong & Loren spots).

But, more importantly, OPM needs every push it can get. (Especially if you didn't fail to notice that Piolo Pascual & Willie Revillame are slugging it out for top spot in the nation's Top 10 songs!)

I chose a gem I heard extensively during the SEA Games in Manila a few years back. The song was "Posible"… and I tracked down the artists and the publisher through my Viva friends. I had the paperwork prepared, the details spelled out… and paid the agreed-upon license fees (being a composer myself – I tend to get charged cheaper and the savings are always passed on to clients. Friend's price!).

I recorded the tune with the intention of staying faithful to the inspiring spirit of the song – with just one, solitary lyric change ‘Gibo’ instead of ‘Laban’.

Everyone involved was happy with the results. The music, though merely there for setting the mood, was a great fit.

However when the TVC aired… a million speculations and conspiracy theories were hatched.

    Each one – wrong.

No. The song was not illegally used. (I’m one of the staunchest defenders of Intellectual Property Rights – and will fight for its enforcement… patayan kung patayan.)

No. The song was not created to make it appear the band was endorsing the candidate.

No. We didn't hire a sound-alike to fool people. (The singer is one of my in-house talents who NEVER mimics other voices)

No. Gibo was not ignorant of IPR laws. (A trusting soul… Gibo left things up to me – showing a complete faith in my judgment, in my knowledge of how to be fair to my fellow musicians and songwriters… and in my inherent desire to always be on the side of Original Pinoy Music.)

I relayed all these points to uber talented Rico Blanco (legendary front man/creative guru of Rivermaya) who had been bombarded by tweets that mostly peddled innuendos. He listened and showed appreciation for the facts… and the truth.

I just wish the dirty tricks people of Gibo’s opponents can be as sensible as Rico and stop mining this non-issue to death…
