simple as that... if they believe on obvious hoax, or if their true beliefs were suppressed by their religion, then we can say they've been brainwashed...

of course they can ask, as a human... but their tendency to ask is dependent on how strong their faith is...
i got confused with your wordings. at first you said they can't ask, then at the end you said they CAN. so they can't, or they can? maybe you meant they choose not to ask. there's a difference.

Maybe they are not asking at all... Can TRUTH CHANGE PEOPLE?. Absolutely NO. We all know smoking and drinking alcohol kills by causing a lot of diseases. So why do people kept doing it?

that's exactly what you guys are doing. you don't ask questions, coz if you did, then you'd be a skeptic. you'd doubt everything in the world. can truth change people? of course!

My point chad is this. You don't have to know everything. If things feel right for you, who cares? not as long as you dont touch other peoples nose, its your life to live...
oh, nobody cares. would you bother to care just for the sake of caring?

--- so do you want to volunter for IRAQ? go ahead. If they are comfortable with the situation, then let them enjoy it... it is not thier priorities, they have work to do. A construction worker chad pambayad sa internet wala... if you ask them to go library and look for it... lols they don't have time chad, they better spent it with thier families and friends.
whachu talkin bout? lagpasa ana imong example oi.

--- why the hell, would you care? if you don't believe him then don't, do we have a freedom to believe here? omg, ATHIEST now becomes a DICTATOR. Chad you are suppressing the right for religion here, are you a COMMUNIST OF SOME SORT?
again, lagpas ra kaayo. basa lagi tarong. sus ni resurrect na gani ka wa gihapon ka nag bag-o. reading comprehension fail. tsk tsk tsk.

    example..

jesus christ was a person... that is a fact
he was a jew, that is a fact...
jesus christ is the son of god, that is a theory
hesus christ said he can save you from hell, that is a fact
jesus christ can really save you from hell, that is a theory.
there is hell, that is a theory..
there are non-christian, this is a fact
non-christains, go to hell, this is a theory

    other religions promise salvation, fact
    islam promises salvation, fact
non-believer of islam go to hell, theory

when combine all these, these becomes an information... as you can see, the final statement of the first set is biased against the non-christians, and so is the second set for islam so for the fear of hell, they will choose to be christians or muslims, but the hell thing is only just a theory..

killing your enemies in the name of god or country is good, theory
getting killed is very very painful and makes your family sad, fact

this is oversimplified argument, but when your leader has his own agenda, he wont tell you the second statement which is the actual fact.. so you are brainwashed, you didnt had all the facts with you..

if you choose to be a christian/muslim/hindu/athiest/satanist/shinto/etc with all information available to you, then you are a free believer..
everything is contradicting....your fact and theories are contradicting...

    anyway, can you measure God?

you said: facts.. anything that can be measured and quantified.. or anything that has actually happened.. beyond that are theories and speculations..

in what way can this be a fact?

    other religions promise salvation, fact
    islam promises salvation, fact

uhh.. i dont think nag meet ato minds dire.. im only using such statements as examples,... anyway, just change "promise" to "offers the promise of".. k? christianity has teachings on how to get to heaven, so does islam, so does judaism, and the budhhists have their nirvana, etc... my mistake, sayop ko gamit words..

lets get back to the main point.. yes, facts and theories frequently contradict each other.. and from proven theories we get facts and from theories that where found to be incorrect, we formulate better ones till we get to something that is closer to reality...

the whole concept of god as (something) is a theory.. God is immeasurable.. infinite... it cant be wrong or right because it cannot be tested, it cant be proven and it cant be disproven (yet)

even satanists can be free believers.. they know about christianity, they knew about islam, they know about other saviours and dieties. yet they chose to worship the devil.. it is their choice, it is their will, so they too are free believers...

free belief is not a religion, its a lot higher, its a philosophy..

  7. #37
of course... who said free believing is a religion??

  8. #38
simply wala siya religious affiliation...ok ra man na

I only follow 3 universal laws

    1.) Do not Judge.

    2.) Respect Everything,
except those things that will harm you.

3.) Speak the truth everytime for yourself,
except when you are saving someone else.
