Default What (free) file archiver do you use/recommend?

Nahan unta ko makahibaw unsa ma-suggest ninyo nga file archiver nga general-purpose but also maka-encrypt sad ug sakto sa mga files nga i-compress. mao ni ako gamit karon:

    FreeArc
    7-Zip

ganahan pud unta ko try IZArc, kinsa nakagamit ani? by the way, na-discourage ko sa WinRAR and WinZIP kay naa may brute-force attack sa password sa archive, masakpan ra gihapon ang password kadugayan specially kung short ang password.

Winrar since birth hahahah, its free.

another option nako is 7-Zip, but winrar can also support 7-zip files.

Im not sure with brute force attack for Winrar, already been there wa gihapon effect.

another way to hide your files is like this.

save me and open me with winrar.

if you are wise enough you know whats behind that picture.

hehehe, nakagamit sab ko ani bro, hiding files behind pictures or appending files to pictures, variation sa steganography ba. ni-try ko sa brute-force attack sa WinRAR using my own file then a short password. mao lagi disadvantage sa brute force kay dugay jud mahuman but still possible gihapon ma-discover ang password.

"KGB can compressed MSoffice into 5mb..."

hehehe, asa nga MS Office bro? ang whole installer sa MS Office? unsa man ang original size sa "MSoffice" bro?

sige bro, try nako ni compare sa UHARC and FreeARC, naa man ko large files diri, will post the results here.

(by the way, after checking the KGB Archiver website, PAQ compressor ang gamit sa KGB. mao man na ang strength sa PAQ compression, high compression ratio but dugay kaayo mahuman.)

(dugay2x na man diay ni nga archiver, murag wa man ni-asenso kay dugay mahuman inig compress ang PAQ then dako demand sa memory. in short, dili siya normally used kung"general-purpose" ang tuyo.)
