hi sir ironwood, long time no hear....
anyways, I have a 3mos old pug...he's so hyperactive....and so adorable...hehe...
here are my questions:
1. What are the things that we need to watch out for?
2. Is Pug considered a small breed?
3. What are the common ailments that they can get and how to prevent them?
4. Basic grooming tips: Do's and Don'ts

1. watch out for hotspots.. prone ang pugs ana, tungod pod na sa ila coat ug sa weather. best thing is to comb their hair once in a while to get rid of dead hairs.. also to provide coat supplement;
2) yes.. they belong to toy category.. sa shows, bangga na sila sa chihuahua, minipin, pekingese, pom, poodle etc;
3) colds, cough and heat stroke... but you can prevent man these by giving them proper supplements like vit c etc.
4) pugs are rather low maintenance in so far as grooming is concerned... basta lang sudlay lang every chance you can get (may be once or 2x a week ok na)... also wipe (even every other day) their nose folds... usually musuk-suk dira excess foods... pwede na ma-infect later on ilawom sa ila nosefold... mao wipe2x lang.
