Installation problem with my WD Passport Essential

I have a 350GB WD Passport Essentials. I use it sa office PC ngaWindows XP SP2. Then I used my external drive to install a program to our other PC sa office. Nag gamit ko Daemon tool.

Pag balik nako sa external drive sa akong pc sa office di na mag work. I tried it on other PCs, it worked on my PC at home nga Vista SP2 and in some other PC sa office ng XP.

Each time I insert the external drive, ma detect sa PC nako sa office, I would install it pero it would say there is a problem during installation and it was not properly installed kuno.

I check sa computer management sa Disk Management pero di siya makita. When I check sa Device Manager, naka yellow question mark siya with a exclamation point inside a yellow circle. Di sad nako ma install ang driver: "Cannot Install this Hardware" kuno.

e try kuno ni nga procedure:
-try using it to a different usb port.
else:
-after nimo makita ang exclamation (meaning, nakataud ang imong passport)
-right-click then uninstall.
-click Action>Scan for Hardware changes.

i actually did. Gi test na nako to all USB ports I have in my PC and I still get the same results. problem during installation sa external drive gihapon.

balik sa device manager,
right-click sa naka exclamation then click properties
adto ka sa driver>update driver>
click "Yes this time only.." > then next
click "Install from a list or specific location" then next
click "Dont search..." > then next"
usually naka check na daan "Show compatible driver"
if not uncheck or locate ang "USB Mass Storage device"
use it as a compatible driver.

the suggestions still didn't work. I got fed up with the problem and I did the ultimate solution - reformat my pc. Now things are going well including other problems I encountered.
