    more info: http://www.infoweapons.com/

yes, it's actively hiring qualified (only) individuals.
    there's another post i found: https://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?topic=86062.0

it's the people that creates the environment. and since it's only trying to get great people, the working environment should be great.
the company is very young so one has to expect some birth pains

yes, one could get excellent training there. the main fields are:
    - unix dev
    - web dev
    - windows dev

but for fresh grads, i would still recommend NEC Telecom Software Philippines, Inc over it. the training program at NEC is already very mature. the number of products and technologies (e.g. programming languages) used at NEC is more varied and numerous.

in terms of benefits, infoweapons still has a lot to catch up especially to Lexmark Research and Dev Corp. benefits is very important especially if you're supporting a family. medical insurance is almost useless at infoweapons. while at lexmark, childbirth (including complications) and dialysis are fully covered. the number of VL's and SL's it gives is very small. when i joined a company at MEPZA around 7 yrs ago the SL and VL were 12 each. at infoweapons, it's less than half of that.

that's just comparing to the companies i've been with.
of course, some improvements are on their way. just how fast and how significant those improvements are still remain to be seen.
i think the company has a great future though. each company has it's pluses and minuses.

@all: I work with NEC and some of my co-workers already work at InfoWeapons. It is a start-up company and the risks and rewards of any start-up company are high. However, based on InfoWeapon's founder's reputation and it's cash cow, the US Department of Defense, I don't think anyone could go wrong joining this company.

    Lawrence E. Hughes
CTO of InfoWeapons, Author of “Second Internet”
Speaker - Opportunities in Application Design Made Possible By IPv6
IPv6 is a generational replacement of the venerable IPv4 which is the foundation of the First Internet.
The most outstanding feature is the far larger IP address space, which allows the restoration of a flat address space (no NAT). This alone will simplify network software design and make possible new decentralized architectural models. There are other significant enhancements in IPv6 such as working, scalable multicast that also will lead to innovations.
This presentation explores some of the possibilities that IPv6 opens up to software designers.
    Time Programme
    11.00am - 12.00pm
    1.00pm - 3.00pm
    Nick Hawkins
Director of Technology Consulting Group, APAC at Polycom
Speaker - Impact of IPv6 on Voice and Visual Communication
The migration from IPv4 to IPv6 will impact all areas of IP networking. Because real-time applications are very sensitive to change in the transport mechanism, this presentation focuses on the impact of IPv6 on voice and visual communications.
    Tom Coffen
GM of Centre of Excellence, Infoblox
Speaker - Why You Should Care About Enterprise IPv6 Adoption
A recent survey appears to confirm the conventional wisdom that enterprises have been slow to adopt IPv6. And while the Internet must adopt IPv6 to continue to scale, opinions vary as to the importance of IPv6 adoption by enterprises. But IPv6 adoption offers opportunities to both improve and evolve, as well as deprecate, existing enterprise network and IT processes. Such changes will have an impact beyond the enterprise sector, either by aligning with, or influencing outside architectural and operational practices. For the business continuity, business agility, and competitive advantage that IPv6 adoption offers the enterprise today will help drive the evolution of the Internet tomorrow.
3.00pm - 3.30pm Tea Break and Exhibitions by Partners
    Time Programme
    5.30pm End of Day 1
    Panel Discussion
    Dr. Ciprian Popoviciu
    CEO of Nephos6
Speaker - Cloud Adoption, A Strategic Driver for IPv6 Transition
Cloud Adoption and IPv6 Transition are the two key pillars of any next generation Enterprise IT environments. Addressing the two inflexion points within a comprehensive IT strategy is essential to optimal and scalable technical solutions, implementation costs reductions and avoidance of rework. This presentation identifies Cloud adoption as a driver for IPv6 transition and describes the interdependencies between the two. It reviews the state of IPv6 support by
Cloud Service Providers and makes IPv6 planning recommendations for Enterprises in the context of a converged strategy.
    Dr. Lim Joo Ghee
Lecturer at the School of EEE Singapore Polytechnic
Speaker - 6LoWPAN - IPv6 for Smart Objects and its Applications
There is tremendous growth potential in the area of machine-to-machine (M2M) systems, where smart objects communicate with one another to perform specialized functions. IPv6 has created the possibility for each of these objects to be given its own IP address. With IP, these smart objects become Internet-enabled. They are able to be monitored and controlled over the global Internet, leading to the vision of what many are now calling – The Internet of Things. At the same time, this opens up many opportunities for innovative applications.
    3.30pm - 5.30pm

    Dean Cheng
    Principle Engineer of Huawei Technologies
Speaker - Technology & Solution for IPv6 Transition
This presentation starts with a short analysis of IPv4 limitations and goes on to talk about the evolving IPv6 structure and its associated IETF standards. The presentation identifies several IPv6 transition technologies and the industry development trends. It reviews some examples of use-cases from Huawei’s collaborations work with its carriers around the world, as well as its deployment prospective in the context of transition strategy.

For Entrepreneurs By EntrepreneursDAY 2 IPv6 SECURITY TRACK
    Time Programme
    Dr. James Lyne
Director of Technology Strategy of Sophos
Speaker - Enhancements of IPv6 and Risks to Avoid in Security
IPv6, has the solutions and features the modern Internet needs that IPv4 can’t provide–greater connection integrity and security as well as the ability to support the vast number of web-capable devices we’ll need for a long time to come. However, while IPv6 introduces some security enhancements, the significant changes could introduce security holes in to your environment. But why would anyone want to adopt IPv6 if it could be troublesome?
    Dick Bussiere
    Solutions Architect at Arbor Networks
Speaker - IPv6 Security Implications and Benefits
The transition to IPv6 began on June 6th this year when major Internet properties such as Google, Bing, KDDI, Facebook and Yahoo turned on IPv6 and left it on. Additionally, the world is out of IPv4 addresses with the last /8 being allocated in APAC last year. IPv6 is reality for your business. Be prepared. This session will highlight security concerns that will exist both the IPv4 to IPv6 transition and with IPv6 natively, and how to plan for these concerns. We will also highlight the problem of Distributed Denial Of Service attacks against IPv6 and how these attacks can be mitigated with a brief demonstration.
    9.00am - 10.15am
10.15am - 10.45am Tea Break and Exhibitions by Partners
    Eric Vyncke
    Distinguished Engineer at Cisco Systems
Speaker - Can we enforce a Security Policy in an IPv6 World?
While IPv6 is not that different of IPv4, it has some twists with respect to security. Can an organization enforce a security policy in an IPv6 network? Or in a dual-stack IPv4+IPv6 network? This talk proposes several solutions to secure a network at all layers to achieve the same security level as in the existing IPv4 network.

    12.15pm - 1.15pm Lunch with Booth Exhibition
1.30pm - 6.00pm IPv6 Forum for Financial Industry (By Invite Only)
    6.00pm End of Day 2

    Jason Fesler
    Distinguished Architect at Yahoo
Speaker - IPv6 in the Yahoo! Production Network
Deploying IPv6 in a production network brings new security risks and challenges. Yahoo! will share their experiences with their deployment, as well as what challenges they still face, as the internet evolves from a single IPv4 service to a dual stack IPv4 + IPv6 service. We will also discuss our enterprise network, and what steps we are taking to move forward in providing IPv6 services to our employees.
