Can this use rechargeable batteries?
Lastly, how many shots would a standard set of fresh batteries last (CIPA standards)?
yes, i use NiMh rechargeable ones (eneloops and sony) with my own copy. I don't know how many shots it would take for 4 fresh batteries since it depends on what mode you'll be using (manual, slave) and flash power.

@michaelocana: these flashes are the latest batch from HK Yongnuo last month. If you read closely that the latter part of the reviews about this flash are good and most strobists have been using this as their slave flash. Yongnuo have already done quality control with the latest batch compared to last year's first batch.

this is a really good cheap alternative... but manual (no iTTL).
