The biggest hypocrisy of all is Joma Sison living a luxurious life in the Netherlands while his foot soldiers sacrifice their lives here for a misguided cause.

The CPP-NPA are terrorists. They recruit young people, arm them and order them to engage in terrorist activities. It is likewise part of their propaganda to be the first to complain of torture when their comrades are captured. The NPA's ultimate objective is to take over the government. It is mind-boggling why people identified with these communists are even in the legislature, why they are members of what is supposed to be a DEMOCRATIC institution in a democratic nation. People who are working to topple the government should not be part of the government, and lawmakers at that. This only renders the government a prey to the machinations of Joma Sison, who uses this "legal and parliamentary form of struggle" to complement the NPA's armed struggle.

But back to the CPP-NPA being terrorists. The CPP and its armed wing, the NPA, protested being "labelled" as "terrorist organizations" by the U.S. in 2002. The U.S. retorted that this was not a "label", but an IDENTITY. I fully agree. The primary aim of the CPP-NPA is grabbing state power, its primary task is an armed struggle, it does not scruple to use terroristic acts to achieve its ends.

While lambasting the U.S. and its "imperialist policies", these commies do not scruple to use the U.S. when it suits their own agenda of toppling the government.

Neither are they above killing their own comrades suspected of being deep penetration agents of the government. I would not put it past them to be responsible for the recent spate of activist killings, as well as the bombing incidents that followed.

Congress should not dilly-dally about that anti-terrorism bill. We should all likewise be vigilant.
