Me bro sent me his old mobo asus M2N-E Sli SocketAM2 to replace my older one, along with some other hardwares. Installed the driver from the cd, no sound. Updated driver, still no sound. reformatted my pc, installed driver and still i got no sound.
im using windows xp sp2. both stereo and headset doesnt work.
what seems to be the problem here? am i forgetting something?
is there anyone having the same problem?
i dont know if this is a hardware or software problem but the software section is full of threads about games.
someone enlighten me. please.

maybe the on board sound card of that mobo is defective, try installing cheap sound card and test the result
