*To use as a Portable MObile Hard Disk (like a western digital passport) = no need to plug the power adapter. It will be USB powered as u plug it thru the USB cable to the USB port of your computer/ laptop.
*To use as a Media Player on your TV= you will need to use the power adapter to power it thru a local power source (electric outlet). Then using the AV cable, plug the jack end to the HDD player and the rca end (red,white,yellow) to the RCA port of your TV.
*To use as a Media Player on your Monitor (CRT/LCD)= you will need to use the power adapter to power it thru a local power source (electric outlet). Then using the VGA cable of your monitor, plug the end to the HDD player's VGA port and the other end to the VGA port of your monitor. For audio, using the CO-Axial Cable, plug the jack end to your HDD player and the other end to the COAXIAL port of your sound system (do the same when you want to use it for videoke). Or you may also plug your speakers jack into the AV port of the HDD Player.

yup, this is brand new. its not exactly like the wd media player kay ang wd media player is not a portable mobile drive. dili man gud masudlan ang wd media player ug hard disk... it only has a usb host para iplug nimo imo usb drive or mobile drive sa usb host.
this im selling is like a portable mobile drive (like a wd passport), that can play the media files u have stored in your mobile drive on tv or audio equipment. so it pretty much functions like a wd media player with its accompanying wd passport, but all rolled into one.
