    Default The Outpost at Nivel

check out the Outpost at Nivel, just before reaching Cosmopolitan (spooky address but great food). owned and managed by owners of Habagat outdoors sportswear, they have the tenderest baby backed ribs. live bands play on stage. great new hangout.

mga 50-60 people max at one time. i think they are still on their soft opening. dishes range from 60-140 pesos, comparable to Zao, Moon Cafe, Kahayag. acoustic nights every wednesday i think. Hardwood played the other night. vintage guitars on display. they have al fresco dining but the place is still not yet fully finished.

parking place in front and on the street.

    vvvvverrrry affordble...reasonable price
homey place with good music...clean restrooms
    very accessible...nice place
    enough parking space available
excellent service...waiters and waitresses are attentive and alert

very good value for your money...chances of going back...again and again and again and again and again..hehehe

while you're there and if you are a music nut, ask to see Junks Muana, one of the owners and take a look at his handmade HARANA aoustic guitars. or maybe you can ask to play around with one of the vintage guitars on the wall.

    Default THE OUTPOST

    guys,

check out THE OUTPOST. it's a new restaurant offering mainly TEX/MEX cuisine among others. a great place to hang out. bands/solo artists perform on wed, fri & sat with informal jam sessions happening spontaneously. it's located in in lahug (a couple of houses before COSMO Nivel Hills). it used to be an old house converted that's why the ambience is so 'feel at home'. see you there.
