In the IT world, there's no such thing as an original idea. It's all about the execution. Get over it...

Earl, RCX? Release Candidate X? so far we here havent heard of any Release candidate...

Latest build is 5365, still a memory hog.. i just let is standby without doing anything then here comes a pop up saying my memory is getting low... wtf?!

faster than xp? maybe... though just a normal installation took more than 30 min... ate 10gigs of my HDD..

Lets just judge the software when it finnaly comes out, just like win XP and win2k came out one called it a memory hog and useless OS but check out what the servers use now win2k =\ and the most common gaming os for the pc windows xp. on a similar spec system with dx10 hardware support vista is supposed to be and will be faster than xp, im not very excited about vista since late 2007 pa ang release i just want it released ASAP so updates can be made and i can change OS, also speeding up the drop of videocard prices due to the fact that DX9.0 will practically be useless including those cards that are limited to DX9.0c when DX10 comes out..

Ingon ana gyud na ang OS upgrades.. over time it will get bloated and overbloated... Remember Windows 95? That uses only 100 MB of disk space.. Win 3.11 before that uses 40 MB only..

As for the look, I don't like it that much. Doesn't look very nice. Slick looking yes, but overrated and dull. And of course features blatantly copied from other OSes. But naanad nako sa unoriginality sa Windows. Wala pa diay mo ma anad ana for pila na ka years mo nagamit ane nga OS? Yup, and let's not judge it by the current builds. Daghan pa gyud na machange. I can remember when Windows XP wasn't running on the Luna UI. Kato pang "forgot the name of the UI (dghan gane tog kolors ba to? nope..)" then last minute dayon nag Luna.

It's not only in Windows mind you, I use a Mac. The first time I had it, the OS was Mac OS X 10.1. Ths OS used only 1GB if I can remember, then I upgraded to 10.2 (Jaguar), 2 GB na, then I upgraded again to 10.3 (Panther), 5 GB na.. karon wla pako mo upgrade to 10.4. (Tiger) because I heard it's bloated and may take up 6GB of disk space.. actually dako dako sad gyud makaon kay I included Classic (Carbon) in the installation man sad. Pero imagine having to upgrade the OS 4 times..?
