    Default 4670 or 3850 DDR3 Vs 4650 DDR2

my MSI card died and im throughly disappointed with it, it only lasted 3 months and it just died on me... while waiting for RMA though im gona get a new card and well use it in the meantime. ive got like 70$ to spend

its 3 cards against each other, im not going for nvidia coz im red.

    a Palit 4670 512MB DDR3 128bit Php 4200 (PHP 4050 from Force3D)
    a Palit 4650 1GB DDR2 128bit Php 3650
    a Gecube 3850 512MB DDR3 256bit Php4200

    Factors are

    1 Gaming at 1650x1080 resolution
2 Power can be handled with a 500W generic PSU
3 lifespan must be able to game on and off since the computer will be on almost 24/7, so heat and cooling is a issue
4 Overclock ability since id like to max out the card without breaking it.

Before anything also ive heard so much great things about the 4650 check out this review
    http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews....d=715&pageid=1

ive had experience with the 4670 and i game on max detail with plenty of AA and AF and max resolution.
i think the 4650 can be overclocked to the 4670 speeds and the 3850 i heard is lower than the 4670

but i cant decide, il buy in a few hours and yeah your opinion would help.

Anther questions of DDR2 Vs DDR3, alot of difference or not?

    @lokster:

You might want to check this thread out:

    https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...cpu-parts.html

    From the above link:

    Palit HD 4650 Sonic 128-BIT 512MB DDR3 - 3,200.00
    Palit HD 3850 Super 256-BIT 512MB DDR3 - 4,000.00

    Hope that helps.

BTW...I've had my eye on the 4650 with DDR3 for a while now. Might buy it soon myself. I've actually read good reviews about this card and I'm really tempted to get one.

    XFX Radeon HD 4650 1GB - Introduction - DriverHeaven.net

im going to get a 4670 Force3D at PCX for 3750Php brand new and 1 year warranty

thing is i havent bought it yet as i dunno about Force3D as a company hehe, if ever i will get that 1GB DDR2 Palit 4650.

DDR2 based on the driverheaven review isnt so bad

Ill' counter that with THIS review. The only one I've seen so far of a 4650 ddr2 vs 4650 ddr3 PLUS it also features the 4670 you're interested in.

EDIT: I guess from the review I linked above it isn't that much of the difference between the two 4650s pero there's a big difference between the 4650 ddr2 and the 4670.

EDIT2: The article I linked above is VERY weird. It starts and concludes about the 4850 and then the benchmarks in between is of a 4650 ddr2, a 4650 ddr3 & a 4670. LOL Disregard this post na lang lokster.

Anyways...about the 4670....is that the discounted PCX price? 4050Php lagi ang naa sa pricelist.

based from ur profile as posted as ur factors, get an ati 4670, only mild or no overclock if ur using generic PSU. =)
