Default How Stable is RCBC bank?

With rural banks and Pre need companies filing for bankruptcy one by one... Rumors are now circulating that RCBC could be next... After their insurance company the Pacific Life has joined the bandwagon of bankruptcy.

Any ideas? Information about this? Is it true that BDO is planning to buy out RCBC?

I have been a loyal depositor and investor in this Bank for some time and I'm still hesitant to close my business ties with them.

if your deposit is within the insured amount of PDIC, then you don't have to worry... as long as within the terms of PDIC...

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) is not a rural bank in the first place.
This is owned by the Yuchengco Group of Companies. Ms. Yuchengco is considered to be the Dragon Lady of the Philippine Stock Market. Most Filipino-Chinese deposit their accounts to RCBC. Most Filipino businesses are run by the Filipino-Chinese community by the way.
If you get to go to Ortigas, look for a new tall building there with the RCBC logo in it and try to internalize if such building be built when that institution is small or can't be trusted.

RCBC offers their new savings account line the "RCBC MyWallet". No average daily minimum balance. Maski i-zero pa nimo, di na ma-close. Only P50.00 to open the account. I recommend students to get this para maka-learn mo to save money.
