No image in webcam

Hello All,

My friend bought a webcam from CDR King and asked me to install it to her PC. When I installed it including its driver, Only black background is seen on the screen. i tried to download the driver from the manufacturer's site thinking that the the driver could have been corrupted, but the same result. i reinstalled the OS (Windows XP SP2) but still the same result. When I tried the webcam in my PC, it worked. Anybody can help me, pls.?

by the way, where did you plug your webcam? sa usb extension? or direct sa usb port? one reason also

i think you have the same problem as mine, bro. A4Tech gali to akong webcam. Try daw decrease ang resolution sa imo webcam. Ang ako ky ang webcam actually works but ang display lng sa screen ang black. I tried dragging the display window around, naa may image makita. Then, mao to ako gi-try ug lower ang resolution size. There you go, nakita na ang display. I suspect the problem is with/your videocard.

Try daw ug drag ang display window bro kung naa bay makita nga image. kung naa, working na imo webcam.

we have the same experience with cdr king webcams, ge uli nako and bought a4tech, no problems eversince
