need help:windows encounter a problem and needs to be closed....

hi fellow istoryans,
hope this thread was not posted before,
na reformat na nako ako pc 3 times but everytime ko mag play ug games, watch movies, play mp3
mo appear ang message nga windows encounter a problem with the *.exe file and needs to be closed...
wala man internet ako pc, mga games o movies raman, bisan dvd movies mao japon ang error message in between na siya, dili ingon mo appear dayon.
need your advise on this, not really that good on computers

shutdown or restart? kung shutdown try put a new thermal paste sa heat sink sa imo cpu...kung restart gani try to remove ram and clean the contact point with a pensil eraser, then sa ram slot clean it with a bond paper.

easiest solution? try updating your windows to the latest, are you on XP SP2? what windows are you operating on? it could be something to do with your drivers too, try reinstalling with the latest drivers if possible.

@ virus, the solution u share is for pros only lol. sounds like a software issue imo

thanks for the inputs bro, i'm not quite sure about the ram but before i had a 512 and 256mb and upgraded to 2x512mb and it seems to start happening, though i know that it was infected with a virus before so i reformatted my pc and after that it keeps on happening everytime i use or play an application either movies, playing games or playing music.

lokster, i'm on winxp sp2, will try to update na lang siguro, it could be the driver kaso lang don't have an internet connection but i can use my phone as a modem connecting to a 3g network
