Question How reliable is an HDD after having "Data Error: Cyclic Redundancy Check" error?

my hdd had a problem "data error: cyclic redundancy check"

i recovered my files and i format it.
3days since i fixed it and it seems ok for now

i searched about the error and i read it was somewhat due to hardware problems.
how reliable is the hdd after the format? should i buy another one?

Saun, it doesnt matter how many times you reformat your HDD bro there will be no problem. Kaya lang if Windows reformat lang dili na 100% jud Formatted, try to use your hdd utilities like samsung utils or seatools you can purely reformat the HDD to 0 but no way ma recover ang files nimo.

HDD's now are even reliable jud no worries. Ayaw lang i tagak.

the most reliable solution for "data error: cyclic redundancy check"?

    RMA..Replace..

if its a hardware error.theres nothing u can do about it.

The “Data Error Cyclic Redundancy Check” is a problem with the mathematical process done by your computer in order to ensure that data is properly transferred from a particular source to a specified destination. During the cyclic redundancy check, your computer determines if the data being transferred is not damaged. When you get a “Data Error Cyclic Redundancy Check” message, this could very well mean that the data you are transferring is corrupted.
