you can take the path of a programmer.. or in networking.. or multi-media like web designing, animation etc.. depende lang kung unsa imo ganahan gyud.. me im into networking..![]()
Here's your path, you can go for software (science) or hardware (engineering) or mixed (firmware). Mathematics is the basic essentials in any engineering field.
Repairs, networking and knowing the right tools are the basic skills in troubleshooting any device problem it doesn't need any degree to know this you can learn it by RTFM. Basic home configuration nowadays has its own network, DSL, wireless setup can be setup by anyone who RTFM out from the box.
In the developers world today, you need to master a single computer language perhaps you want to go into .Net or Java platform etc but at least you have to master one. For me, I choose to use the .Net platform using C# and ASP very important for my work right now which is more on web services but before I used C++ for device driver development. The tools that I am using right now are Visual Studio (IDE) and SQL Manager, and TFS (Team Foundation Server) that's all you need. Developers nowadays needs to be all in one and should be knowledgable in relational database (stored procedures etc), web services (IIS, aspx etc) and a little bit of java scripting.
