or at least the most decent films. my picks are:

1. THE INCREDIBLES

2. COLLATERAL - nice subtle payoffs such as
Cruise's signature shoot groups at the metal door
of the train, or dying in an MTA...

3. THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST (direction-wise,
an excellent film)

4. M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN'S THE VILLAGE - an
emotionally stirring theme and some heavy
metaphors. nice pov switching for the protags. and
Manoj's sustaining of the pacing via misdirection
(in the end) beautiful score from JNH too.

5. KILL BILL VOL. 2 - artistic blend of the martial
arts and Western genre.





Nobody mention School of Rock, ROTK or Kill Bill 1 cos they were 2003 releases, although they were shown this year.

My favorite films so far have been Incredibles with Spider-man 2 a close second.

I'm such a superhero geek...

Yeah, Spider-Man 2 was pretty good... had those cliffhanger or nick of time moments between action scenes that reiterated how heavy a task being a vigilante is. and how GREAT and burdensome that responsibility is.

Bourne 2 was a disappointment... but I won't ever mind seeing it again for a little of F.M.A. action

the only thing that marred it for me was the camera work. Greengrass failed. but Gilroy's writing was goodly enough for me.

naa sad sa movie that made you laugh nga thread ni include sa school of rock as one of the movies.. i didn't like it at all.

anyway.. best movie: the terminal.

overrated man ang ROTK pud but that movie, School of Rock and KILL BILL ONE are probably films that people will list... they were 2003's leftovers shown here early in the year.
