for future reference.
my shutter count is 8099 for my 400d
if It will fail.
How much will canon charge me for a pristine new shutter?
anyone with experience having their shutter serviced?
Thanks

ajol ... sa akong experience mga 5k ++ (parts and labor). 30D with shutter actuation around 8K plus. . unfortunately ... sa ako SAD =( kaayo na experience ... it took them around 3 mos. to fix my cam (canon cebu had to send it to manila!). eniweys ... hope this helps!
elpropesor, maayo gani na kay 5K ra ..
akong experienced kay shutterbox sa 300D .. 8K.
so expect another maximum of 8k maximum investment if in case your shutter fails.
actually ang maguba kasagaran kana man mura ra ug paperclip ... kaapan lang kay tibuok module e puli.
Hmmm, saato pa bai dali ra diay mo fail ang shutter sa canon? I have a friend who has a 300D, he reached around 700K++ shuuter count usa pa ni fail. Karon instead of replacing the shutter module ning palit nalng kono siya ug 30D. Kay dali ra man kono depreciate ang cam body niya ug not worth it daw i-replace. Ug mostly akong nabasahan is for Canon and Nikon cams around 500K shutter cycles usa mo fail. Pila na diay katuig imo cam bai?
wala paman na guba ako shutter
for future reference rani in case mo fail na gyud....
grabeh sa ana 700k++ shutter count before naguba oi...meaning sa 700k kay 700,000...if we will do the math, lets say 5,000 shutters imo ma himo in one month...700,000 divided by 5,000 = 140 months / 12 = ~ 11 1/2 years ang life sa imong camera whew...and the 5,000 shutter per month is already amazing...whew!
