ei guys, unsaon nako pag set og password ani? kay if mo connect ko sa ako other pc direcho ra man cya connect, how do i set a password para dili bisan kinsa maka access sa ako connection?

mine is a D-Link dir-300, yes wireless router ni, i just want it to have a secured connection which requires anyone who wants to connect to enter a password

dili ko sure bro if imong wireless router has the same menu with the other D-link routers. as an overview, access your router's GUI menu. click Wireless Settings or Wireless (usually on the left). you should see something like Wireless Security Settings or Security. choose WPA or WPA-Personal. create a passkey then save your settings

1. hardwire your computer to the router using the ethernet cable coz di man ka maka-save og settings unless connected ang computer og router.
2. adto sa ms dos unya kuhaa ang default gateway. i think 192.168.2.1 ang GUI sa dlink
3. mo-ask mana og username / password. username: admin, password: admin
4. go to the wireless tab or advanced wireless. mo-ask rana og encryption type. i suggest nga WEP key lay pilia.. 10 digit ra ang password. pwede all numbers. pwede sad alpha-numeric.
5. be sure nalang sad nga imong channel kay set to 6,7,9, or 11
6. save settings!!!
7. humana!! di na ka-connect imong silingan sa imong network.. hehehe

hehehe... kalimot ko... palihug diay kog unplug sa ethernet cable para maka-wireless naka ;P

aw alangan... pero para makasure ka nga successful ang settings nga imo gihimo then dapat nimo i-unplug ang rj45

kong naay WPA, use nalang WPA instead of WEP

i prefer WPA, WEP is old
