I own a small internet cafe and a trading business in Cebu City now. Business started great but with the messed-up industry that I'm in right now plus the given fact of the soaring prices of oil and specially food these days, I doubt you'd like to be here investing your hard earned money.

However, there are always others means to get by. With that money, you could still get into something that'll make your money work for you. But the question WHAT has to be answered by you.

In business, one of the best things to think of is your INTEREST. Business is a headache and there's no getting around that. But if your business is something that is of your interest, the headache will be so much more bearable.

Also, one of the things you need to consider is either going to business or go for employment. You have to calculate all your earnings in a planned business and compare it with all your total earnings if you were employed. If they are just about the same, then I'd suggest you stay employed. After your shift, your mind is free to think whatever you like other than your job. If you are in business, your thinking about your business 24/7.

You mentioned your an IT person. Do you have certificates to prove your worth? CISCO, MICROSOFT, COMPTIA, etc.? If you do, one of the things to consider is look for a job in a multinational company located in Cebu while still working from where you are now. I'm quite certain that if you have the right man for the job in a multinational company, getting a 20k+ job locally will be so much easier.

And if you opt for a local job here, another thing to consider would be doing business while earning from a job at the same time. This is where I am now (because I have to).

Eitherway, good luck. Hope I have given you something worthwhile.

ako pa nimo bai, i will keep that job, considering nga gamay ra jod na imo savings unya what if dili mo work imo i build nga business, back to zero ka, i would suggest diha lang sa ka, then do business there, part tym ra gud, daghan kaayo pinoy sa Dubai so di ka mawad-an ug customer diha, try selling phone cards, mga used cp, or broker for jobs to Filipinos for a fee, mag ahente ka balikbayan box, remittance business, mao ni ako gihimo dire pod sa gawas, ok kaayo akong remittance kay 250 ako charge kada pa remit sa akoa, mora sad kada dominggo ako sweldo, unya sa card sad 40 pesos ako kada card, halin jod hinoon ang card dire, ang 100 pcs nako 1 week ra na mahurot, ambut lng sad kaha diha sa dubai kon kusog ba card, kay morag ubos ubos man sad salary sa dubai, pero sure ko remittance daghan ka mahimo customer ana kay magpada man jod na sila sa ila pamilya. the lesser ila ipadala, mas maayo kay kon naa naka 300,000 unya average sa remittance ibutang nato 10,000, so 30 na ka customer unya tag 250 kada isa sa charge, so 7,500. ang style dapat gud ani, inig dawat nimo sa ila padala deposit dayon sa ila alotte kay ganahan man na sila express remittance mao na gamit sa imo 300,000. open lng ka ckecking account para checks nalng imo ipang deposit sa mga alottee, pwede kaayo imo misis maoy taga remit, para dawat gyod mo limpyo unya after a week sulod naman sad to imo 300,000 nga capital, dawat napod ka remittance the following week, so another 7500 na pod, so for 1 month naa nakay 30,000 remittance lng, unya sa card pa, pangita lng unsa mga needs sa pinoy diha, then do business out of it, kon maka-establish na ug trust ang customer nimo, pwede na maski wa kay capital, deposit nalang nimo tanang nga paremit sa imo in 1 lot, unya sa pinas na ang distribution sa mga allotee, mao man na systema sa mga banko, mao mo abut pa 3 days usa madawat ang kwarta. Unya ko up to date ka, diha na na sila sa imo padala.

Another is look 4 product sa Dubai nga hit sa pinas, kon naa ba, unya freelance freight forwarder ka sa mga intresado mag import, wa man na capital kon agent lng ka. Lisod ana pag start ra gud, pero everything will come out naturally kon madugay na, makita na nimo how money accumulates in you account. Daghan kaayo mga ways actually, di nako maisa-isa deri kay maglibog nya ko unsa imo negosyoon, Nindot jod hinoon ni nga paagiha kaysa mo stop ka work then venture into business sa pinas, kana net nimo nga 20,000 sa pinas basin kon magnegosyo ka didto, gross pa na nimo, mo net nalng siguro ka ug 2000 ana

How young are you na sir?

If dili pa 45 pataas, I don't think it's a good idea nga mouli ka ug magbusiness, considering nga lisud kaayo ang Pilipinas. Hold on for a few more years.

Meantime, I suggest nga kung mouli ka for a visit, try to seek a financial adviser, so that ang imong kwarta, dili matulog. I'm sure naay maayong mga investments diri sa Pinas. It's just not practical to start up your own business in these times.

gamay man ng 45-50t/ month then naa pa gyud ka sa gawas oi...
pwede biya ka mgnegosyo og boarding...
rent ka og house then pa-rent nimo per rum or bedspace... oh well, im not sur bitaw.

but on a general view, uli diri then ngita ka og trabaho, then imong money, pangitai og way to generate income... bisan start lng ka ginanmay na negosyo..

gusto sad ko negosyo, even gagmay lng sa.. gamay rman maafford nko

    gudluck to you...

Agree jud ko ani bai. dli sayon mag business coz i do have same biz with this person. i suggest you go both if you opted to go back here. small biz is not enough. you should have a back up which is your job. in my case i work at night and im managing my biz daytime. so it is not that easy bro.. all you need is sacrifice in order to succeed.... good luck!
