You will have received a PM or an Email pointing you to the specific post along with reasons why you were given an infraction.

Infractions can lead to users being muted or banned.

Generally, light infractions will expire within a certain amount of time. Serious offenses will NOT expire.
It will continuously accumulate until you WILL get banned from the forums.
