.. with regards to issue number one, this strike ain't necessary at all. The commuting public can and will understand that a fare hike will be inevitable and besides that 0.50 centavos is such a pain.

.. and to that issue of oil prices, this is where they lose track. The price hike isn't limited in the philippines alone, but it's a global problem.

.. and thus, this strike is just a nuisance to all.

SCRap EVAT on Gasoline
Remove the oil deregulation law
Increase the fare to 8.50

the biggest reason why oil pricess are increasing 1.50 per week
is because last month 1$ = 40Php but not it is 1$ = 45Php

i thought the 7.00 fare was already implemented and the strike was in regards to 1.50 fare increase which would make it 8.50, because Cebu jeepneys are the cheapest in the Philippines..
