NOC Short for network operations center, the physical space from which a typically large telecommunications network is managed, monitored and supervised. The NOC coordinates network troubles, provides problem management and router configuration services, manages network changes, allocates and manages domain names and IP addresses, monitors routers, switches, hubs and UPS systems that keep the network operating smoothly, manages the distribution and updating of software and coordinates with affiliated networks. NOCs also provide network accessibility to users connecting to the network from outside of the physical office space or campus.Take some certifications like Cisco, Microsoft, Sybase and Linux.
