unstable dsl globe connection

i hav a new connection 2 days ago from glob dsl 384, evryting works fine until 2 days. but on th 3rd day i start losing the inet connection. i'v check the LAN card and switch port where the pc is connected bothl led hav stable lights. but y cant i use the internet? i use dynamic ip address under winxp os. any idea what other things to check b4 a cut down the drop line and replace it w/ a new 1. is there something wrong w/ the patch cord line?

it's the same prob we have today also. it keeps on disconecting like a dial up conn. i hav a friend hu also has a globe dsl conn which has a prob lik our, the dsl led jaz blinks, it can't connect to their server. i think there's no prob with our hardware, it's the globeline w/c has the problem itself.

wold u advice to replace patch cable drop line? but so amaze on the first place if there s somthing wrong w/ d patch cable then it will be definite d day i connect the pc to the switch wla na daan connetion but it happens 2 days aftr.

ok, let me 1st ask u some questions, 1. is your dsl modem connected to a network hub/switch? 2. what ip addresing did u use static or dynamic? 3. did u assign manual addressing in your dns or gateway? i'll wait 4 d ans. but try this to check, if u r using a dsl modem that uses ethernet port on ur pc, try to browse from that modem by typing on iexplore or firefox, 10.0.0.138, >this is d default ip address of the modem, selecet the diagnostic tab, check if ur dsl connection is up by. there are instances that the led of the dsl if on, but ur connection to the server is down. try this also, in your default internet browser, ex. internet explorer, or firefox, on firefox select on tool menu, and click on the general tab, den connection settings, then select auto-detect on proxy settings... etc. same as to internet explorer. U

i use a speed touch 511e router/modem issued by globelines w/ dyamic ip add. following ur instruction i c no prob w/ the connection diagnosis is up.

if you think that it's an ISP problem. Don't hesitate to call their technical support. You paid them.

btw, can you ping their dns server?

ok, like what shadow kenshin said, dont hesitate to call their tech supp, ISP related prob, jaz call dem and let them repair ur connection, nagbayad gud ka nila. or kn gusto ka mag assign ug static address, w/c u can manually configure ur dns, gateway, etc. try kuno, use d add 10.0.0.138 as the gateway and d dns server, also check ur computer for malware, spyware, cus ive encountered spyware w/c disables ur internet protocol, try system restore, if u like. ty

prob solve. but this trouble puzz me so hard. now i truy to switch 2 pc at port 2 and 3. originaly pc at port 2 cannot stablish a connection. but wen i switch the 2 booth pc has a connection nd its doesnt ncounter any eror or disconections. convince that it i alredy solve the mistery i switch bak the pc to its original port connection. but wen i do that...errr it happen again. pc 2 is disconnected nd cannot use inet. confuse w/ d Qs was it in the lan card? NO! dfintely since when i switch the pc from its port it can connect to lan and inet. was it CORRUPT OS? no again... d last ting i did is to replace d lan card of pc connected to port2 and its works!!! ned ur comments guys on this. 1st time to ncounter tech prob like this.
