Need help with a AMD quad-core barebone upgrade

OK,.... my current rig (important parts only)

ABiT Falat1ty AN8 SLi
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (Toledo Core)
BFG NVidia GeForce 7800 GTX OC (w/ Arctic cooling NV Silencer 5 Rev. 3)
Mushkin XP3500 Redline 4x512 (timing @ 2-2-2-6)
Western Digital Raptor WD740GB (for OS)
OCZ ModXStream PSU 780 Watts OCZ780MXS


so this is my plan

AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz Socket AM2+
G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (im thinkin' about getting 2 of these kits,..... but im not sure if i really need it)
(any other recommendation regarding the RAM?)

i still wanna keep the HDD and the PSU (my current PSU should be able handle 125W from the AMD Phenom 9850 BE right??),.... i dont really do hardcore gaming anymore so im keeping the GPU,...... (might upgrade later on)
just started playin' Crysis, i play it once in awhile,..... running it @ 1280x1024 graphix all set on medium and it runs pretty good

ok now,... about the motherboard,...... this is where i need some advices on,.... i need a real good motherboard that supports AM2+ and that can run DD2 1066 or better
i was thinkin about going with a AMD Chipset like the 780G,.... my 7800 GTX OC can run on it right? (i guess my current GPU is just gonna be temporary)

did AMD/ATi come out with a new and faster GPU yet??
wat do you guy suggest on the video card??
lets try to keep it AMD ONLY,.... i'v been supporting them through good times,.... and wanna keep supporting them in there bad times,....

so what do u guys think any advice? advices?,..... pros or cons,....

hmmmm..para nko bro...it think ok pana imo 780 watts para sa phenom nmo bro...dle pd btaw ka mag OC sa imong phenom bro..i think ok rana...nya sa imong ram bro...kung mg 4 gig ka nya windows xp na 32bit ra imo OS,i think,dle ma detect ang full 4 gig jd nya bro...at least 3.something gig rana ang imong ram...

correct me if i'm wrong, but i think ur mboard will be limited in htt speed if u put in an AM2+ cpu(or S939 pa ni imo mboard)...so if u have the budget change ur mobo to an AM2+ native and depending on ur chosen mobo ang imong RAMS either sakto ra or kung 2 mem slots ra then limited na ka. get a 2x2gb RAMS para safe...unsai brand/speed depende na sa imong budget.

u can also upgrade ur 7800GTX OC to an 8800 or 9800 series card...XP is on its way out and Vista time is here...so games will be on DX10 platform na..ur psu,hdisk ok pa na...

bro...if ever u decide to sell your 7800 vidcard, pls. pm me dayon pila...i need one para ma SLI na kuni akong system...i have d same card as your...ngita ni ug pares thanks a lot...

hulat lng for around another month bro..kanang nvidia am2+ mobo nga naay hybrid power(for high-end gpus)..i shutdown niya ang discrete gpu and use the on-board gpu if dli ka mag games..dako kau matipid kuryente if you use your rig for other things aside form gaming

not sure if the same ba ang option sa amd kay akong nahibalan is the hybrid crossfire, low-end gpu + onboard gpu na crossfire. naa pud ingana ang nvidia called geforce boost or soemthing..i might be wrong tho hehe

@ parts : i plan to keep it Windows XP (Corp. Edition),...... i'v tried and played with Windows Vista (i actually have a laptop that has Windows Vista) and im not excited and impressed about it.
(i said the exact same thing when i had Windows 2000 and Windows XP had just came out,...... so i might eat my words in the future)

so lets say i had everything ready,...... and i had 4x2GB RAM,......would Windows XP recognize 8GB of ram?

@ simoko : thats the plan,..... upgrade to a AM2+ MOBO (not the AM2 MOBO with a updated BIOS so it could run AM2+)
i think im gonna stay away from NVidia GPU,...... i wanna keep it AMD/ATi (unless some can give me a real good reason to stick with NVidia GPU)

halos tanan AM2+ no mobo karon bro can run DDR2 1066..for me sa mga currently available lng na mobos, a 780G or 790x crossfire mobo ang ayos. naa na atay daghan na 790x na ata dri sa cebu pero msi lng ang brand

much better gyud bro kung AMD chipset/ATI video pares.in my GA-MA69G-S3H mobo with HD3450 vidcard maka OC ko sa video card using the ATI Catalyst CC software. but if i put this same HD3450 sa akong DFI nF4 Lanparty mobo, disabled man ang overclocking sa ATI Catalyst CC. ang Nvidia lang kai kusog gyud when it comes to games...
