Am a professional online gamer, i have been playing since 1999. Am into mmorpgs and rpgs.. At first, it was a hobby, and later on it turned out to be my PASSION.. I AM NOW A DEDICATED online gamer... Hit up our forums at http://bfwgaming.com to find more like minded gamers, although most will prefer FPS games. If you really want to be a professional gamer though, FPS games is where you need to be.

i used to be a online game addict - 1st online game i ever played is OZworld >>> MU global >>>pristontale then went back to MU global... hehehe... ubay2x na ang mga online game na naduwaan nako pero ang game na naka-kwarta ko ug maau is MU global(before)/MU phil(today)

I don't play MMORPGs. You don't need skills to play those games. All you do is level farm etc. etc... Like what vern said, FPS/RTS games are definitely the games for Pro-gamers. I might be wrong though.

obviously you're too naive to MMORPGs.

all i see on counter strikes and CODs are that lots of players can kill their opponent because of luck. especially if they try to hit the body but instead the bullets goes to the head. and one hit killed by the opponent is no fun.

I played RO, MU, RF, PW. I just don't find that kind of games as... competitive. Sure there are alot of PVPs.. but all you do is.. click. Press 1 or F1 or something, then click on the enemy.. Hahaha.. Like I said, you don't need skills in these kind of games.

You really have no idea what you are talking about. What you call luck is your slow computer and your high pings. FPS is all about skill. RPGs on the other hand only require that you have time and the motor skills of a 10 year old. Don't get me wrong, I love RPGs. I doubt very many people have played as many RPGs as I have, but the very nature of RPGs requires luck from it's roots in DnD and it's dice rolls. Every RPG out there has some sort of virtual dice rolling from Baldur's Gate to Neverwinter Nights to World of Warcraft. Those dice rolls are what decide whether spells are resisted or if attacks are blocked amongst other things. Oh and just for reference, I played World of Warcraft for years and during that time I was involved and an officer of various top guilds. So yeah, I know all about this "skill" you talk about.

One more thing, this topic actually has "professional" in it. If you didn't know, there aren't any "professional" RPG players who make money from competitions. Gold farmers don't count.

not all MMORPGs are the same. most of PVP MMORPGs requires more skills than FPS.

at least on MMORPG, you can decide to use your retreat skills or retaliating skills when someone tries to backstab you while on FPS games, you just kiss on the floor coz most of them can one shot you if you're turning your back on our opponent. again, where is the skills on that?

probably, you guys just played a warrior class and you just attack and attack w/o strategy. or you are just a noob on the game. try playing mage class, lets see if you can catch up on your fingers pressing the buttons on spells for buffing and debuffing. not to mention healing your comrades if needed.
