Dumaguete is like South Africa or Subic(Clark). It is a little America. A quaint city with a laid back feel and full of foreigners/expats(Caucasians). There are many mestizas too if you prefer one. It's not as busy as Cebu or Manila but it also has its own to offer. People mostly have their own MC's so if you plan on visiting for a short time, i suggest you rent an MC(150php 5hrs 350php 8hrs 50php 1 hr). Public transport is expensive at 10php minimum so renting will be worth it.

Took the midnight bus going to Port Liloan, Santander.
Stood for an hour and a half from South Bus til Argao
since the bus was already full.

Waited for an hour at the port for the 4:30 AM boat trip
to Sibulan Port, Dumaguete. All the long wait and hunger
throughout the trip were all worth it when I saw this
    beautiful view infront of me...

    Unfiltered breaking dawn in Dumaguete

My heart skipped a beat upon seeing this beauty!

naay barko maam... george&peter ug cokaliong. usually mularga na sa cebu at 10pm. muabot sa dgte pagka kaadlawon na. check lang sa schedule diha sa pier.

pero most travelers prefer the bus kay mas shorter man ang byahe gud.

Got this bus schedule when I was waiting for the 2PM bus
going back to Cebu (direct) yesterday at the Ceres Liner.

I was amazed of their rest room because it was so cold and
chilly -- mas bugnaw pa sa gawas/waiting area lols
