Naa bay na-priso for non payment of debt sa Postpaid Subscription of Cellphones?

Please give your comments and personal experiences regarding postpaid subscriptions of cellular phones (esp. globe)

My friend's scenario is this:

He is a businessman. Three years ago, he had three close relatives who came up to him and asked him to open up accounts under
his business' name for faster processing. The relatives will assume the monthly dues.

Unfortunately, two of the relatives were not able to catch up with the payment and the lines have
been preterminated. tsk tsk.

Karon, siya na ang gigukod sa globe, through the latter's lawyers nga sige padala demand letter. Ingon siya magpapriso nalng kuno siya kay sa mobayad siya kay he is also losing sa business. (around 30K bayranan including pre-termination of 10K each) and dili man pud siya nag gamit sa post paid lines.

What could be his possible remedies? Pwede ra ba pasagda-an nalng niya nga ma-black listed siya sa globe?

akong amigo walay bayad2x sa globe, 50,000 kapin iya bill for the past 5 months. gipadad-an nagud siya ug letter sa attorney. gi baliwala ra niya. wala pa siya na priso hangtod karon, he still lives in the same place (residence). but black list sad lagi siya, mao nay nakabati.

i also have a friend who was in the same situation although sa globelines landline lang tong iya. sige adto ang taga globe to follow up sa iyang payment. nibalibad na siya kay wala siya money ikabayad ato na amount and jokingly told them na magpa priso nalang siya. the globe personnel told him na kung prisohon daw ang mga utangan sa globe dili mapa-igo sa prishohan, bwehehehe!!!. until now murag nakalimtan nalang siguro to sa globe.

wa nya byri 5k+ tungod sa longdistance sa iyang sis... asa ka d mananghid... sya pa jd mutawag sa laki nya sa gawas...
so ad2 sya sa pldt den ask sya paputol ky d nya kaya byran...
sugot rman ang pldt kuno... gipaputol ra... pero wa sd sya kabalo kng blacklisted na sya...
basig kng muapply sya balik dili pede until bayran nya ang utang sauna...

ang naka lisud man gd aning blacklisted ta ky basi di btaw ta ka gawas or something ky bad record ta sa usa ka company... mas myo mana nga limpyo atong record btaw...
lisud na nga case sa migo nmo bro... dpat gipahimoan nya kontrata ang mga relatives nya para limpyo iyang name... walay parinti2 oi na unsa mura man sd ug gigamit lng sya ana...

@estoyse: mao lagi. unsaon nga salig ra lagi kay paryente man, naamong na hinoon. lesson learned the hard way na hinoon.

@weng-weng: at least your friend still had the humor to tell globe personnel nga mag pa priso nlng siya. Bothered jud kaayo akong friend ron kay karon pa siya kasuway ani. Sige man gud tawag sa iyaha ang atty nga gi-hire sa taga globe. Nahurot na iya excuses.

@chadix24_7: thanks for sharing. Medyo dako jud na ang amount involved sa imo migo da. Bag-o lang na nahitabo sa imo migo? Kuyawan tawn si migo nako nga basin naa na bag-o pamalaod ang globe ron ba.

few years back i have this kind of situation. the globe postpaid account was under my name but used by my sister's friend. this friend went to the u.s. leaving P8,000 unpaid bill. lots demand letters came but i ignored. priso pako wala nako dili sa istorya.... one thing lang if you apply a new line they can dig up your records and automatically your application is disapprove unless you will settle your old account...

very slim ang chance nga mapriso mo, but you won't be able to apply for another post paid line in the same company...in this situation Globe...

Same thing happened to my officemate...sa previous nya nga work, sa iya naka pangalan ang postpaid line nga gikuha sa iyang office sa Globe, then she left the company...nacut ang line due to nonpayment then within pa jud sa lock-in period...now she is applying for a new line, nadisapprove siya coz of a previous balance and dili gani siya aware sad... mga 18k ang iya balance... she was adviced by the Globe personnel to have her previous work settle the amount...or what she can is to finish the remaining months of the contract so she wont have to pay the pre-termination fee of 10K...so she just need to settle the oustanding balance, and then pay the penalty for reactivation and finish the contract...
