HELP!!! BUS ADD-ON CARD MALFUNCTIONING

Tabang mga kapatid!!! mga bro!!! i cant use my mouse, printer, & other paraphernalia nga usb. i forget to put off the computer kadtong akong giduot ang modem sa card slot niya. then dili na mu ON ang whole computer.akong gipa ayo sa technician but ingon niya dili na kuno magamit ang USB port. i tried buying a new USB add-on card mga 5 ports man gani kay wala nay stock para 2 lang unta. when i inserted the card, mu hang basta mu register na ang 'new hardware found." HELP!!! DILI KO KAGAMIT SA AKONG MOUSE, PRINTER, ETC... KAY MU HANG NAMAN ANG COMPUTER. pero if akong tangtangon ang new USB add-on card, mu OK ang unit pero keyboard na lang ang akong mouse. no more printer, etc...ug mouse nga usb ang connection. Is this repairable? unsaon man mga friends. tabang....

just hope its not a major problem.... let's hope its just some hardware conflicts....

but since you accidentally installed pci device and forgot to totally turn off the computer... let's see.

friend, when i push back the modem card na naka "on" pa ang computer mao to ang start na dead ang comp. gi pa ayo nako sa technician, nag work na balik ang comp but dili na mugana ang usb connection. wa na giayo sa technician. so ni buy ko ug bag-o then gi install nako pero OFF ang computer. pag ON nako mu hang na pag mugawas na ang words nga NEW HARDWARE FOUND. PLEASE HELP ME!!! SAKIT NA KAAYO AKO KAMOT PAG GAMIT SA KEYBOARD AS MOUSE.. although exercise ni pero di ko kagamit sa tanang function sa mouse if keyboard ang gamiton.

if your ps/2 mouse port is working use it for the meantime.

looks to me like you toasted your USB controller chip. i think your other option at this point is to buy a USB PCI card.

b4 you install the usb card... did you unplug the power cord? if not unplug ... a short-circuit will do.

gi unpluged nako friend.kadto lang pag duot nako sa modem card. basin na short circuit ni sa? maong ni buy ko ug bag-ong PCI bus add-on card. then gi install nako UNPLUGGED ang comp. pag gawas sa NEW FOUND HARDWARE FOUND nga words, ni HANG na ang computer. i cant go on any further. tapos, gipawong na sad nako then gitang tang ang bag-ong PCI bus add-on card. dili na mu hang ang computer pero wala koy mouse nga usb ang connection. naguba na sad ang akong PS2 connection friend. mao sad ning problema, akong sister ang nakaingon sad. mao bitaw akong giilisan ug USB gna mouse. then, mao na sad ni nahitabo!!! ig short circuit siya, whats the best way to repair this? pls help mga friends.....
