Default MERGED: All About Waxing (Unwanted Hair Removal)

Please post reviews po re: waxing experiences and yung gamit nyong pang-wax or san kayo nagpapa-wax.

This is applicable for the following:

    1. brazillian waxing
    2. leg waxing
    3. arm waxing
    4. chest waxing
    5. underarm wax
    etc... etc...

    i'll start:

yung first time ko to have brazillian wax sa laybare ko sya ipinagawa. kinda scary kasi sabi nila it's painful. my friends advised me to take 2 advils an hour before the session kaso i forgot. kasama ko yung friend ko then sabi nya mare we forgot to take advil so i asked the attendant if they have local anesthesia, meron daw kaso i need to wait an hour before simulan para talab na yung anesthesia eh kinda late na that time so sabi ko sige go kaya ng powers ko yan. thanks God kinaya ko. di naman sya ganon kasakit or maybe mataas lang threshold ko sa pain. so ayon after the first experience naadik na ang lola nyo sa waxing. eto na ginagawa ko sa UA ko and nawala ang chicken skin ko sa UA plus mas pumuti at kuminis ito. after the session sarap ng feeling. but now i'm using na lang the DIY na cold wax. just like the one used sa laybare pero cheaper sya kasi 150 lang yung 150g 3-4 usage na unlike sa laybare 440 per session.

    share naman kayo.

@prettyaia: what brand of cold wax are u using? ive been looking & wanting to try it.

for underarm wax, ive been using Epillin. so far so good. but the first time i use it kay very sakit & init pa gyud mura og napaso ang skin nako. oh well, that was my first time. pero karon months nako sige og gamit tolerable naman. mas nicer ang effect sa wax for me kaysa plucking.

i'm buying from beauty essences. pm ko sayo contact nya. maganda yung wax nila kasi no heating needed at walang strip na kailangan. if you 've tried laybare pareho nung ginagamit nila kaya economical at mura. yung 150g trial pack nila na good for 3-4 uses 150.00 lang.

I've had a Brazilian done (no landing strip, I mean the whole thing!). It's painful at first (I remember wanting to knock out the beauty therapist) but u get used to it. It also depends on how good ur beauty therapist is. She should be able to keep u relaxed by talking to u and placing her hand on u reassuring that everything is ok. My friend gets it done regularly so now for her its a walk in the park =)

I've just had my first brazilian wax! I'm proud to say that I survived! It really hurts like hell but the result really paid all the pain. My secret was to take Advil an hour before the session. Atleast, the pain is quite bearable but it still hurts. I used to shave but the stubble irritated my skin.

So, why underwent such pain of waxing? Because having it waxed or shaved off is hygienic.
