Common floor finishes for 2nd floor/bedroom floor, from cheapest to most expensive:

    1. Vinyl
Advantage: Just use rugby to adhere to smooth plain cement.
Disadvantage: Scratches. Easily peels over time. Uneven surface.
    Price Category: Economy

    2. Ceramic Tiles
    Advantage: Durable
    Disadvantage: Cold on feet
    Price Category: Low to Mid-End

    3. Porcelain Tiles
Advantage: Durable. Aesthetically better & bigger than ceramic tiles.
    Disadvantage: Cold on feet
    Price Category: Mid -End

    4. Wood Mimicri Vinyls
Advantage: Aesthetically looks nice. Warmer on feet. Rugby adhesion only.
    Disadvantage: Scratches
    Price Category: Mid -End

    4. T&G Laminated Wood
Advantage: Aesthetically looks nice. Warmer on feet. Lock & lock mechanism
    Disadvantage: Scratches. Not water-proof.
    Price Category: Mid to Hi-End

    5. Hardwood
Advantage: The best bedroom floor finish. Warm on feet & eyes. No problem with water. Can be polished.
    Disadvantage: Damn expensive.
